Tucson will experience a warming trend this weekend.
A strong high-pressure system will move into the region, bringing dry conditions and above-normal temperatures, the National Weather Service in Tucson says.
The high temperatures this weekend in Tucson are expected to be 73 degrees on Saturday and 79 Sunday, though there’s a 21% chance it could reach 80.
If Sunday reaches 80 degrees, it will be the ninth time this month that happens. And that would set a new weather record in Tucson for the most highs in the 80s during the month of December, the weather service said.
New Year’s Eve in Tucson is expected to reach 75. New Year’s Day here is expected to reach 68.
Low temperatures in Tucson from the weekend through New Year’s Day should be in the low to mid-40s, the forecast shows.
