Arizona junior outfielder Brendan Summerhill picked up another prestigious preseason honor Friday.
Summerhill was named to the watch list for the , given to the best player in college baseball.
Summerhill is one of 55 players on the preseason watch list and one of only six from the Big 12 Conference. He’s the 12th Wildcat to make the watch list since its inception in 2008 and the third in the past four years (Daniel Susac, 2022; Chase Davis, 2023).

Also Friday, Summerhill garnered preseason second-team All-American accolades from the . UA junior shortstop Mason White also earned second-team recognition from the NCBWA.

Summerhill has been named to three preseason All-American teams, White to two.
Summerhill led Arizona in batting average (.324) and on-base percentage (.399) last season while totaling 32 extra-base hits, 50 runs and 59 RBIs. White paced the club in multiple offensive categories, including home runs (19) and RBIs (65).
No. 21 ÃÛÌÒÓ°ÏñAV opens the season Friday, Feb. 14, against Ole Miss at the Shriners Children’s College Showdown in Arlington, Texas. The Wildcats’ home opener is Feb. 18 against New Mexico at 2 p.m.
