10 Million Pounds Of Pre-cooked Meat Recalled Due To Potential Listeria Contamination

  • Updated

Pre-cooked meat producer BrucePac has recalled nearly ten million pounds of poultry and meat due to potential listeria contamination. The U.S. Department of Agriculture made the announcement. The recall affects popular U.S. grocery retailers, including Walmart, Publix, Target, Aldi, and Trader Joe's, with products in various pre-packaged foods like sandwiches, salads, and frozen meals. Consumers are advised to discard or return affected products. No illnesses have been reported, but listeriosis poses a severe risk to vulnerable populations.
