Multiple students were injured Tuesday afternoon when the school bus they were riding flipped on Interstate 10 northwest of Tucson.
The crash happened on I-10 near the Tangerine Road exit, and the interstate remained closed in both directions Tuesday afternoon, the state Department of Public Safety said.
Details of the injuries were not immediately available, but several students on the school bus were taken to Tucson-area hospitals for evaluation, the state DPS said.
The bus was carrying students and three chaperones from Kingman Unified School District.

The students apparently were headed to a  being held at the Tucson Convention Center through Thursday.
Meanwhile, the Cochise County Sheriff's Office said earlier Tuesday that there have been multiple crashes east of Tucson due to blowing dust.
A portion of I-10 just east of Willcox was closed Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office, the interstate was shut down from milepost 352 to milepost 373.
Drivers are being warned to be prepared for traffic delays and detours until further notice.
