The expansion of Roadhouse Cinemas is underway with hopes for a March grand opening.
The Tucson dine-in theater has expanded into the neighboring former Bed Bath and Beyond space at the Crossroads Festival Shopping Center on East Grant and North Swan roads.
Roadies, as the new space will be known, will have spark bowling, laser tag, interactive darts games, giant screens in a sports bar and over 100 arcade games, said co-owner Scott Cassell.
Roadhouse just leased a bigger office space for its staff in the center from its landlord, Larsen Baker.
When Roadies opens, it is expected to add between 40 and 50 employees.
Renowned local muralist Joe Pagac painted the new mural.
“Our intent is to make this the biggest and best that the southwest has to offer,” Cassell said.
