Arizona's Thanksgiving Day matchup with Michigan State drew 5.18 million viewers, more than for any regular-season college basketball game on any network since 2008, according to Nielsen Ratings numbers Fox cited Tuesday.
In part because the game was shown on national Fox over-the-air broadcast stations  -- and after Fox's coverage of NFL game between the Lions and Packers that drew 33.7 million viewers -- the UA-MSU audience also far outpaced any Arizona game outside of the NCAA Tournament under third-year coach Tommy Lloyd.
