After a season at Kansas State, wide receiver Tre Spivey is transferring to Arizona, he announced on Tuesday.Â
In one season at Kansas State, Spivey hauled in 14 catches for 160 yards and a touchdown.
The 6-4, 217-pound Spivey is the son of former Arizona Diamondbacks second baseman Junior Spivey, who was a part of the 2001 World Series team.Â

The younger Spivey played his preps career at Hamilton High School in Chandler and had 984 all-purpose yards and 15 touchdowns in two seasons for the Huskies. Spivey was teammates with UA defensive back Genesis Smith, linebacker Taye Brown and center Grayson Stovall.Â
As a three-star recruit, Spivey garnered offers from Arizona, Kansas State, Washington, Oklahoma State, Arizona State and BYU, among others.Â
Arizona has added three wide receivers in the transfer portal between Spivey, Kris Hutson (Washington State) and Luke Wysong (New Mexico) to help bolster their rotation after losing NFL-bound Tetairoa McMillan and senior Montana Lemonious-Craig, along with several others in the transfer portal.

Arizona returns two starters in slot receiver Jeremiah Patterson and redshirt sophomore Chris Hunter, who ascended in the second half of the season with 35 catches for 323 yards and two touchdowns.

Hunter had 102 yards on seven catches in Arizona’s loss to UCF, then made two acrobatic touchdown grabs against TCU. Hunter is the only player from Arizona’s top five pass-catchers to return in 2025.
