Two Arizona Wildcats have been named to the , and one has a chance to be an All-American.
Sophomore shortstop Mason White made the All-Region first team, while senior right-hander Cam Walty made the second team. By virtue of his first-team selection, White will advance to the All-America ballot.
White, a graduate of Salpointe Catholic High School, totaled 19 home runs and 65 RBIs, ranking in the top three in the Pac-12 Conference in both categories. White slashed .305/.392/.603 and, on defense, was involved in 31 of Arizona’s 47 double plays. He earned All-Pac-12 recognition during the regular season and was named MVP of the conference tournament.
Walty, also an All-Pac-12 pick, tied for first in the conference with eight victories. His 3.29 ERA ranked third, and his 1.30 BB/9 rate was among the lowest in UA program history. Walty notched quality starts in wins that clinched the Pac-12 regular-season and tournament titles.
